Orange Cake

    For the cake

  • 175g butter
  • 175g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 oranges
  • 200g flour + 1tsp baking powder
  • For the syrup

  • 3 oranges + 175g sugar

Cream butter and sugar

Add eggs, one by one

Mix the zest of two oranges & dry ingredients in a bowl

Introduce alternately dry ingredients and juice of oranges

Bake at moderate heat for 30-40 minutes

Make a simple syrup and slather on the cake just out of the oven (prick with a fork for more coverage)
